The landfill laborer assists in the receiving of recyclable materials in a professional and efficient manner.
Job Description:
Inspect customers' loads and direct them to the appropriate area to unload.
Monitor customers as they are unloading to ensure that the material they are dropping off is not contaminated with unapproved material.
Perform all duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
Ensure proper that the personal protection equipment is used.
Perform cleaning duties related to keeping the work area neat and organized.
Performs any other tasks as requested by Supervisors or Managers.
Maintain an excellent attendance record.
Communicate promptly and accurately to the loader operator regarding the material being dropped off (when assistance is needed).
Maintain a professional and courteous manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Ability to perform physical requirements of the job prolonged physical exertions, including standing for a long period of time, and sometimes lifting up to 50 pounds.
Exhibit the ability to distinguish between various recyclable materials.
Must be able to work occasional overtime including weekends.
Preference given to individuals with disabilities and individuals in active recovery.
